The general terms and conditions, the house rules and the current price list are available on our website.

1. Booking

You can make a reservation through our online booking system or by e-mail. The reservation becomes final once you have received our written confirmation with a reservation number. By making a reservation, you accept these terms and conditions and the house rules, which form an integral part of the contract.

All legally required pre-contractual information (Art. L.221-5 of the French Consumer Code) – description of services, prices, and payment and cancellation conditions – is available on our website.

2. Payment

After confirmation, you must pay a deposit of 40% of the total amount, with a minimum of €100, within two weeks. If the total amount is ≤ €100, the full amount is due immediately at the time of booking.

The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 4 weeks before arrival.

For reservations made within 4 weeks before arrival, the full amount is due immediately, unless management has explicitly given written permission to pay upon arrival.

If payment is not received on time, administrative fees may be charged or the reservation may be cancelled. Without a deposit or payment, all rights to the reservation lapse.

3. Prices

Our prices are published on the website and may be adjusted during the year (tax/VAT changes, updated price list). Each new price list has an effective date and applies to reservations made from that date onward.

Reservations confirmed before a new price list is published retain the rate applicable on the booking date. All prices are subject to typographical errors, VAT changes and government levies. Confirmed reservations remain unchanged, except in cases of obvious error or legal changes.

4. Security deposit

For rental accommodations (tents, Coco Sweet, mobile homes), a €100 security deposit is required (credit card pre-authorisation or cheque). It will be refunded at departure after inspection, provided the accommodation is clean, complete and undamaged. Costs for missing inventory or extra cleaning may be deducted.

5. Arrival and departure

Camping pitches

Available from 14:00. Departure before 11:30. The pitch must be left clean, free of waste and in its original condition.

Rental accommodations

Available from 15:00. Please report any defects or missing items within one hour after arrival. Departure before 10:00, broom-clean and tidy.

Arrival time – general rule

In low season, arrival before 19:00; in high season, arrival before 20:00. Late arrival is only possible with the prior approval of management.

No-show

We will hold your pitch or accommodation for a maximum of 24 hours after the scheduled arrival time, provided that the required deposit or full payment has been received in time (as described in Article 2), unless a different written payment agreement has been made.

If the required deposit or payment has not been received within the specified time, the reservation is considered void, and the campsite may immediately reallocate the pitch or accommodation. Any reservation fees already charged remain due.

After the 24-hour no-show period, the reservation is considered cancelled; amounts paid remain due and the campsite may re-let the pitch or accommodation.

Departure – general rules

Waste must be sorted (residual waste, glass, paper/cardboard, packaging) and deposited in the designated containers at the campsite entrance.

6. Cancellation

Without cancellation fund

Changes/cancellation free of charge until 1 April 2026 (any reservation fees already paid remain due).
Up to 56 days before arrival: free of charge (reservation fees already paid are not refunded).
Between 56 and 28 days before arrival: 40 % of the total amount.
Between 28 and 7 days before arrival: 75 % of the total amount.
Less than 7 days before arrival or in case of no-show: 100 % of the total amount.

The percentages above represent the amounts that are withheld (calculated on the total amount after deduction of any reservation fees paid). Reservation fees are never refunded. The remaining part of any amount already paid will, where applicable, be refunded to the guest. Cancellations must be made in writing. No refund is due in case of late arrival or early departure, except in cases of force majeure.

With cancellation fund

If you have taken out the cancellation fund and a reason covered by article 7 occurs, you are entitled to a full refund of the amounts paid, excluding reservation fees already paid and the cancellation fund premium. If no covered reason applies, the above rules “without cancellation fund” apply.

7. Cancellation fund

The cancellation fund is an optional protection covering certain unforeseen events that prevent the stay (illness/accident of a participant, death of a close relative in the first degree, involuntary loss of employment of the head of household). Cover runs from the date of booking until the scheduled departure date.

In the event of a valid reason, a full refund of all amounts paid is made (excluding reservation fees and the fund premium). If the stay has to be interrupted for a covered reason, a pro rata refund of the unused nights may be granted.

The premium is 5.5 % of the total amount (with a minimum of € 5). It is due from the moment of subscription and is non-refundable once cover has started, whether or not you actually use the fund. Requests must be made in writing and accompanied by supporting documents. Reservation fees are never refunded.

8. Liability and conduct

Please respect the quiet hours from 23:00 to 07:00. In case of serious disturbance or inappropriate behaviour, management may terminate your stay without refund. The campsite is not liable for damage caused by third parties or by guests’ negligence. Only written statements from management are binding.

Pets

1 dog per rental accommodation, except in pet-free units (no animals allowed, including visiting pets).
Maximum 2 small dogs per camping pitch.
Charges apply according to the current price list.
Dogs must always be kept on a leash on the campsite; there is no designated off-leash area.
No access to sanitary buildings or the swimming pool.
Owners must clean up after their dogs (bags available at reception and near the pétanque area).
Dogs must be identified (chip/tattoo) and have valid vaccinations, including rabies; checks may be carried out.
The owner is responsible for any damage, pollution or nuisance caused by their animal.

Category 1 and 2 dogs (French law)

Category 1 (“attack dogs”): these dogs are strictly prohibited on the campsite. Under French law this includes, for example, pit bull–type dogs without pedigree (type American Staffordshire Terrier), boerbull-type crossbreeds and Tosa-type dogs without pedigree. The classification is based on the type and characteristics of the dog, not only on the name written in the passport.
Category 2 (“guard and defence dogs”): only allowed with full compliance with all legal requirements. This category includes, among others: pedigree American Staffordshire Terriers (LOF-registered), pedigree Tosa, Rottweilers and dogs that closely resemble Rottweilers.
For Category 2 dogs, at least the following conditions apply:
- the dog must always be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle in all common and public areas of the campsite;
- the owner must be at least 18 years old and present on site;
- a valid vaccination booklet (including rabies vaccination);
- valid liability insurance covering the dog;
- identification by microchip or tattoo and registration;
- a valid French attestation d’aptitude (certificate of owner competence).
The campsite reserves the right to refuse access or terminate the stay of any dog whose category, documents or behaviour are unclear or non-compliant, or in case of doubt regarding compliance with French regulations.

9. Right to image

Photos and videos may be taken to show the atmosphere and for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in such images, please inform reception; your privacy will be respected.

10. Personal data (GDPR) – Retention periods

We only keep your data for as long as necessary for each purpose:

Reservations and stay management (including history and pitch preferences): during the contract and up to 10 years after your last stay, based on our legitimate interest (customer relationship, preference management, dispute handling). After 5 years, data is moved to an internal archive with restricted access; after a maximum of 10 years, it is anonymised or deleted.
Marketing/newsletters: for the duration of the relationship and 3 years after the last contact (or until you object or withdraw consent).
Accounting/invoices: 10 years (legal obligation).
Police form (if required): 6 months.

Stay information (dates, pitch, price) may be kept in an anonymised form for statistical or operational purposes. You can exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection – particularly to marketing) via info@rivesdusoleil.com.

11. Insurance

The campsite is covered by a statutory civil liability insurance. We recommend that guests take out their own travel and liability insurance (travel, liability, theft, damage to property).

12. Consumer mediation

If you have submitted a written complaint and no solution has been found within 30 days, you may contact:

13. Applicable law and language

French law applies. French courts have jurisdiction. In the event of discrepancies, the French version shall prevail.

14. Exceptions and special agreements

Management may, on a case-by-case basis and for specific reasons, deviate from certain clauses of these terms and conditions or the house rules. Such deviations are only valid if confirmed in writing and apply only to the reservation or guest concerned. They do not alter the conditions for other guests.
