Camping along the Route du Soleil
Finding a suitable transit campsite in the middle of France on the Route du Soleil is great, but the fact that it is also a really fun place for children and adults is, of course, an added bonus. Our campsite in the Burgundy region is a wonderful place to stay. With various facilities on site and beautiful surroundings, it is the ideal destination for a short or long stay.
'Top campsite for travelers. Excellent campsite; after driving 800 km with a caravan, this is a perfect place to rest for the night. We could leave the caravan hooked up. The pizza at the campsite is delicious, and there is also time for a refreshing dip in the pool. As parents, we enjoyed seeing our children having such a good time.
The next day, we headed east to Lake Annecy. We left at 7 a.m. and arrived at our final destination at 11 a.m., which gave us the whole day to set up our awning. Transit campsite France
Our transit campsite in France is just 10 minutes from the Route du Soleil. In the heart of Burgundy, between Lyon and Dijon, we have created a wonderful place for people traveling by car to the south of France, Italy, or Spain. Are you coming for a short stay? Then choose one of the transit pitches at the campsite. The advantages:
- You can get back on the Route du Soleil in no time.
- The transit pitches are suitable for caravans and folding trailers.
- Pets are allowed.

In addition, you can of course make use of all the facilities at our campsite on the Route du Soleil. These include the swimming pool, the pizzeria, and the children's playground.
Centrally located in beautiful Burgundy
Camping Aux Rives du Soleil is beautifully situated in Burgundy. This rustic campsite has everything you need for a peaceful vacation. Add to that the beautiful landscape of Burgundy and you have a vacation you will never forget. Just outside the campsite, you will find 8 hectares of rolling meadows with a beautiful, winding river running through them. Here you can enjoy walking, cycling, and simply relaxing. The magnificent wine region of Burgundy is full of hidden treasures.
On the Saône River
This Route Soleil campsite has more to offer than just vast meadows. It is beautifully situated on the the Saône River. This river is ideal for a refreshing dip. But it is also excellent for fishing. Because it is very wide, the fish that swim there can grow to be incredibly large. So you might just hook a fish that is 1 meter long!
Swimming at the Route Soleil campsite
If you prefer to stay at the campsite, you can also enjoy a swim there. Camping Aux Rives du Soleil has two swimming pools. A regular pool where you can swim laps, but also a paddling pool for the little ones. There are sun loungers by the pool where you can relax and read a book.
Enjoying the Reyssouze River
You can also enjoy the Reyssouze River from the campsite. This river is known for its carp and catfish. With a good fishing rod, you can catch all kinds of large fish here. And the river flows right past the campsite. So it may well be that your camping spot is right by the river. Ideal for the avid angler!

Visit the cosmopolitan city of Lyon
From our campsite, it is a short drive (by French standards) to the cosmopolitan city Lyon. The city has a very long history, which is still evident in many places. Lugdunum, as Lyon was originally called, was founded in 43 BC. From there, it has grown into the huge city it is today. In the city, you can now visit the Gallo-Roman Museum, which displays beautiful excavations and finds from the city's distant history. The city is also known as a paradise for foodies. So don't forget to grab a bite to eat during your visit.
Camping Dijon transit

This city, known for its mustard among other things, has many beautiful sights to see.
