Wine week 2011 Aux Rives du Soleil

Wine week 2011: 15/5 to 22/5

Discover the beautiful villages of Burgundy with its fabulous wines and sign up for our wine week.

The program is as follows:
Sunday, reception with a welcome drink and a snack
Monday, Discover Burgundy by following the famous wine route Mâconnais-Beaujolais
Tuesday: Visit to cave Besseuill or Lugny
Wednesday: Visit to the largest castle in southern Burgundy, Château de Cormatin
Thursday: Visit to cave Lavernette, with picnic and walk
Friday: Visit to the famous wine museum at Hameau Duboeuf ROMANECHE Thorins
Saturday: Farewell Dinner in restaurant Bouilloux
Sunday: Departure

Cycling

From grannies old bike to mountain bike, you can go every way you want. We advise you to bring you bike along, we rent out bicycles, but nothing beats your own. Pont de Vaux is at 3 kilometers biking distance, over a tarmac hunting path between the camping site and the village. This path is situated such that you can safely take your children for a ride. Pont de Vaux has 3 bike repair shops, so you will never be helpless when it comes to bike assist.

Hiking / walking

The camping site is situated on the road to Pont de Vaux. As soon as you cross the road, however, you can enjoy the peace and quiet along the Sâone river. You will experience the wideness of the Bresse area, you will cherrish the purity of the air.

Fishing

Meerval, carp and perch
The camping site is surrounded by three differen waters, the Saône river , the meandering Reyssouze stream and the canal from the Saône river to the village of Pont de Vaux (approx. 3 km ). The fact that we speak of a hot fishing area is proven by two major fishing supply shops in our village. Every day, summer and winter, people are fishing in the local waters. Catching meerval, carp, perch, pike, .... We receive numerous people on the site, coming to this area especially for calm water fishing. You can fish from the camping site, bring your fishing boat (trailer ramp present), and even fish during the night on the opposite shore where a special night carp fishing spot serves your fishing needs.

For children we provide the possibility to fish from one of our five decks in the water just of the camping site shoulder.

Entertainment for children

From 5/7 till 26-8 We have Mingo and Jingo! They take the kids on adventures.

High season
In the peak season morning, at noon and evening a number of activities provided by our enthusiastic animation team: Mingo and Jingo. The animation is for children up to approx. 12 years. So father and mother would you even take a few hours something together? You can! Your kids are in good hands!

The activities include:

• Karaoke
• Handicrafts;
• Plays Games;
• Bingo;
• Live stratego;
• Treasure hunt;
• Campfire;
• Sports and games;
• Our storyteller gathers every day at half past seven small and reads.

This summer Femke and Thije comes.
They go to give drawing workshops to the kids on the weekends.

Adult animation

Off-season
In spring and autumn we organize special activities for adults

• Wine Tasting at noon in Clesse Besseail chateau;
• Bowls tournament;
• A glimpse into the kitchen;
• Car Rally in the beautiful Burgundy and of Ain;
• Walking Treasure Hunt (approx 6km);
• Every Thursday evening with Burgundian buffet prepared with local products;
• Card Game afternoon in our cozy fireplace room "Bouilloux";

Painting and drawing workshop

This summer, Femke Dijksta and Thije Prins comes and give workshops at our campsite. We are very happy. It is a period in the season. The exact date will follow as soon as possible.

Canoes

At the campsite we have several canoes for rent. The rents (including life jackets) are: • € 5.00 for a half day. • € 8.00 for a whole day.
